Shed a Tear

- You know, some times, it feels like all I do is draw women who punch their own hands bloody. It seems like neither Shields nor Rossi are interested in games, though. Maybe we get to see people put their cards on the table for once? Ha!

- Wait, "...put their cards on the table..." what comic are YOU reading?

Rossi seems to be a much better sleuth than a negotiator, because she's too involved with the opposition to keep a clear head. She's much better at skulking and hiding behind catspaws than at open confrontation.

The body language here is top-notch it tells the story as well as the words do. :)

- Rossi is already voice-cast thanks to the audio drama, so I have a great voice for when I hear her. I'm still trying to "cast" Shields. My current picks are James Horan, Steve Blum, and Clancy Brown; do you think about this as you write, or am I just weird?

- She's always seemed so confidently calm. Even in the reading of the audio drama it was like she was 10 steps ahead with a number of contingencies for each step. There was also a sense of something dangerous in side her that she had learned to control. I still believe this. And if it's true, Shields presence has the power to cause that control to slip. What makes her really scary is her immunity to the curse, she seems to know his location and movements, and she rolls up to his secret bunker with no apparent fear of him. In casual dress even. I think I'm starting to see what her role and underlaying, true, nature of her connection to Shields is now.

- @Delta-v: Or maybe she's a great negotiator, and she's simply not here to negotiate?

- @NitztheBloody: No, I'm weird in the same way. I totally think about their voices all the time. Funnily enough, I'm drawing a blank on Shields, though. I've never decided how I want him to sound. I imagine him as quite monotone, but that's about it.

He was supposed to be in an audio play at one point, but I didn't want to lock down his voice, so I cut him.

- @Jessie: He causes her control to slip, and she is one of two people who's able to make his slip. I think you can probably guess who the other one is.

- I...is her...wrist broken...? Gahh!! That makes my hand hurt looking at it!

- @melaredblu: No, it's not broken. She just maintains an elegant curve of the wrist, even with shards of glass stuck in her hand. What a classy lady.
